Adult muscle loss happens to almost everyone, and much of the muscle mass is lost prior to middle age. If you do nothing about it, you are losing ground. Strength training can address this problem.Muscle is insidiously converted to fat, without being noticed. Even if you maintain a constant weight, you are most likely still losing muscle mass.  If you gain weig... Read More

proclus says: Thank you for your encouraging comment. You might want to add some strength training or running intervals to your program. I have recently done this, and I had a little breakthrough last Saturday. Happily reinvigorated, I will soon be running steady for several miles at a time. Running is not the main thing for me though, and I still prefer the bicycle and Bowflex.

Products I Recommend
A snippet from the calorie restriction posts link in the left sidebar
Vitacost: This is where I get my polyphenol supplements, fruit concentrates, L-Carnosine, Lipoic acid, Acetyl-carnitine, Omega-3 fatty acids, CoQ10, Probiotics, Red yeast rice, and hunger suppressants. This is hacking at its best in my opinion, longevity hacking. Even if you spend a little more at Vitacost than other places, it might be worth the money.
Here are a few more items of possible interest
I recommend a _SMALL_ dose of aspirin, which goes well with the other items. Take a panel of flavanoids, including those mentioned, and eat at least two whole (peeled) citrus fruits per day. Cheese, yogurt, and probiotics, each in moderation, and _seafood_. I recommend red salmon, everything with no salt. Eat flavanoid rich foods like; blue corn, purple kale, blood oranges, red onions, and berries. Vitacost makes fine juice concentrates. There is more to say, but my program is under constant development, and space is short. Feel free to contact me with questions.
Here is list of some of the supplements that I get at Vitacost
Resveratrol MegaEFA Curcumin Magnesium Vitamin C and soon E Glucosamine Chondroitin Forskolin
